I have said it over and over and over.
"I have got to lose weight."
"This time I am serious."
Over and over and over and over....
I finally figured out that I cannot do this alone. So yesterday I visited my doctor to get some assistance. Bloodwork is completed (nothing has really changed since last time). EKG is completed.
A plan is laid out.
A food plan. Not a crazy plan where I can only eat cantaloupe or something like that. My doctor is all about moderation.
An excercise plan. Not a crazy plan where I have to work out for 5 hours daily.
And a prescription for phentermine to get me started on the right track. I will let you know how it goes.

Hey, I did the Phentermine thing for a few years & it really helped me learn to say no to fast food, processed foods and/or anything fried. Also, had to swear off dipping pretzels in the peanut butter jar. The pills are a great way to kick-start a new regime. It also helped me get my arse out to walk every day. Unfortunately, not even the mall is cool enough to walk in right now. You'd think we live in Death Valley or the Outback.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, give it a go. Oh, I even had a daily glass of wine while dieting because I deemed it necessary to keep me functioning in a proper manner. Sometimes I'd switch it out for a Pearl Light Beer over ice with a lime. I just had to walk a little longer or swim a little longer.
Most things are good for you, in moderation.
I also wanted to thank you for your sweet comments on the blog. I still struggle w/ insecurity every day. It's like I'll always be the ugly, fat child inside. That's just so whack-o.
