I went shopping yesterday.  Had too.  Could not fit my behind into any of my shorts from last summer.  Do you know how disheartening that is?

So today, I am serious.  I know, I know.  I have said it all before.  But I am sick and tired of being sick and tired.  Besides we just got jetskis and I really need to be a whole lot cuter out on the lake this summer.

So here is the plan.  I am exercising.  I rode my bike this morning.  I am trying to get a gang together to walk in the evenings.  I am even getting Vol Fan on board.  I challenged him to try to do a half-marathon next summer!

I had a major purchasing event at Sams Club yesterday.  Lots of stuff for salads.  Things to grill.  Oodles of fruit.  Huge box of Skinny Cow :)  A girl needs her sweets especially when she is dieting or she runs the risk of completely derailing!

I also purchased a starter pack of Alli, the weight loss supplement.  The claim is that for every pound you lose, Alli will cause you to lose another 1/2 pound.  I will take all the help I can get.

It is supposed to keep your body from absorbing fat, passing it out via your digestive track.  Which, according to the label, can cause some digestive distress (ie - VERY loose stools) if you overdo on fats at mealtime.  Just that knowledge will make me think twice about fried foods, etc.

I will be the guinea pig.  And I will let you know how things go!

But I need your help, fellow losers.  I need people to hound me.  Harrass me at every turn.  Daily.  So please, please, please crack your whips!

  1. Alli does work, but the leakage is what made me stop. Seriously, leakage. Not pretty, but if you eat meals low in fat there is less worry. Good for can do this. If I can...anyone can.

  2. You are not the only one who had to go out and buy new clothes for the summer. I went up a size and can not get into last years summer clothes. Well except for the flip flops. And it is dishearting. I go to the dr AGAIN tomorrow for more thyroid blood work. Cant wait to see how much I have gained in the last six weeks. So here is your first crack of the whip! I hope the ALLI works for you. It has for a lady at my church. I am going discuss my weight gain with my doctor tomorrow too. Way to go Woody!

  3. I am terrified of Alli, the idea of sharting isn't really something I can handle. Don't fret, just get back on track. I gained six pounds on a six day vacation just because I stopped living on Medifast shakes and bars. So depressing.

  4. I've never heard of Alli, but I hope it works for you. Without the sharting, of course...:/

I haven't pulled the summer clothes out of the attic just yet, but I KNOW nothing is going to fit. I've been doing fairly well with my eating, and the weather has made it easier to exercise. The bigger clothes that I bought, and the clothes I got from NNG are starting to slip on a bit easier. I'm hoping that's a good sign!

    **cracks whip** Let's DO this!

  5. I've looked at Alli, but (here's the TMI part) chronic hemorrhoids and then adding leaking to them? I don't know. Could it get any prettier than that?

I will be curious what you think of it. I hope it's a fantastic help to you.

  6. I suppose if you are shatting you are not keeping much in. But i know how you feel, last weekend i cleared out my wardrobe at a car and boot sale, made £77.00, and bought a stepper for £5.00, still looking at it. Anyway this is about you, take one day at a time.

  7. Mini Alli Report:

    - haven't had any sharting yet:)
    - no stomach upset, etc
    - 1.5 pounds lost!

  8. U go Woody!
I bought me some of the Sketchers walking shoes. I am loving them!
